Description

The nostalgia factor cannot be overstated. Classic Minis evoke a sense of British charm and 1960s/70s cultural cool that resonates across generations, both of which contribute to its enduring desirability.

In an age of increasingly digital and autonomous vehicles, the raw, mechanical, driver-focused nature of the Mini Cooper offers a refreshing contrast and continues to appeals to enthusiasts drawn to an analogue driving experiences.

If provenance, matching numbers, and originality along with sensible preservation are important to you, well then, this stunning MK3 S will certainly command your attention.

It was registered in London during August 1971 and has been in this same fully engrossed Mini family for the last 17 years.

Happily still correctly finished in its factory monotone 'Blaze' orange, it still has the original navy blue interior and factory optional reclining front seats and 4 1/2  inch wheels.

Between 2012-2014 a full off body restoration was carried out, including a bare metal respray, full engine rebuild, complete suspension and brake refurbishment, new carpets, headlining and the reuse of original interior.

The engine received some attention, as a hot Swift Tune cam and timing chain set was fitted, plus it was over bored to +60 (1330cc) which makes for exceptionally spirited performance, not forgetting a wonderful rasping exhaust note...it’s a car that thoroughly encourages engagement.

It's well known to the Mini Cooper Register and seen an excellent reference for originality. All the sort after engine part numbers are correct along with features only fitted to the last of the true Coopers.
