Unusual for us to have something like this McClaren 12C for sale but at this price point, dare we say it, it seems a huge amount of car especially when you read the engineering and performance stats below. Notwithstanding this, and as is often the case with the first of anything, the 12C car in my humble opinion, is the most appealing in terms of shape and size compared to much larger and more powerful ground effect models that have followed!
A beautifully looked after car with a complete McClaren history that has recently been fully serviced (11th) by McClaren service agents, Bell & Colvill Ltd, to include new discs and pads, 4 new new tyres with corresponding alloy refurbishments plus a number of system upgrades only available via the official dealer service network.

Engine and Performance
The 12C is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, internally designated M838T. The aluminium engine with dry-sump lubrication produces roughly 592
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch “Seamless Shift Gearbox” (SSG) from Graziano, offering lightning-fast gear changes and a performance-focused driving experience.
Performance figures are outstanding: 0–62 mph (0–100 km/h) in roughly 3.1 seconds, a top speed in excess of 200 mph (330 km/h), and a power-to-weight ratio that puts it firmly in supercar territory.
Chassis and Handling
The MP4-12C’s handling is enhanced by McLaren’s ProActive Chassis Control (PCC) - an advanced hydraulic suspension system that adjusts in real-time to driving conditions. The driver also has independent control over powertrain and handling settings, allowing customisation of engine response, gearbox logic, and suspension firmness.
Aerodynamics are equally clever: an active rear airbrake deploys under heavy braking to help slow the car, and the low, wide stance aids high-speed stability.
Interior and Practicality
Inside, the MP4-12C keeps drivers focused with a minimalist yet high-tech cabin. There’s a centre-mounted tachometer flanked by digital displays, a touchscreen infotainment system, and high-quality trim with options for bespoke finishes. Front luggage space is reasonably generous for the class, and practical for soft bags.
An extraordinary motor car that challenged and changed this super car segment.
