The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity states that chassis no. 158129 was supplied via AFN in March 1963 but was actually built in 1962, making it amongst the first RHD T6 models delivered. Ordered as a standard RHD car, there were no options specified on the COA.
Minimal ownership over the years has included the renowned & late Porsche specialist Barry Curtis, who passed ownership to Dr Porsche's great nephew, Sebastian Piech, who inturn sold it to his brother-in-law and then latterly into the hands of the last keeper, an avid classic car collector and amateur racer.
The current near perfect Champagne Yellow (Glasurit 22) paint work was applied by Sportwagen in 2012, after they had undertaken a sympathetic body restoration. There are numerous works invoices and general correspondence on file from 1987, including 150 photographs taken by Sportwagen mapping their works.
PRS have been involved historically too, having rebuilt the engine 2007, they have repaired and resealed the fuel tank recently. Further attention was given not only to the carburettors, but also brakes, steering and clutch to in the last few months, further advances this car...it really is a delight to drive.
