Only 3,421 examples of the 'O' series 911 Coupes were produced for 1967. Weighing a little under 1100kg's and boasting a sophisticated torsion bar suspension with front McPherson struts, rack-and-pinion steering, and large disc brakes all around, the 911 was quick and agile, soon becoming a sought-after platform both for everyday motoring and track competition.

Description

An exceptional short wheel base 911 Coupe, presented as originally built, in perfect Light Ivory (6604) paintwork and contrasting beige interior. The COA states the options were antenna, loundspeaker, catacolor glass all round and 2 seat belts in black.

This matching number SWB has had a recent thorough going over by Tuthill Porsche, where both engine and gearbox were removed, inspected, rebuilt and resealed, including the fitment of a new silencer, heat exchangers. Invoices tally to over £14,500.

Additionally it was felt the car would benefit from a bare metal respray, the end result is clearly exceptional - the labour element alone, amounts to a staggering 700 hours; from the detailed invoice one can evidence the enormous attention to reassembly, detail, panel fit and sourced parts.

Supplied new by Kline Porsche, Indianapolis on 31st March 1967 to its first owner, Doctor John Warvel. Relinquished to Tucker Madgewick Sr. who interestingly had previously worked for Tucker Motors and Studebaker, where he was involved in the design of the ground breaking Avanti!

In short a highly collectible and sound investment, especially when as good as this.

It would be a pleasure to answer any further questions you might have. This Porsche can be inspected at my Guildford showroom - please call me on 07788 865700.
