Description

This is a 'J' Series car, built as a RHD Coupe in relatively small numbers between August 1975 & July 1976 and has the 2.7 Litre K-Jetronic fuel injection, delivering a lovely free-revving 165 BHP.

A standard built car with no sunroof but with electric windows, finished in unblemished Arrow Blue (305-9-2) with rarely seen but perfectly preserved black/white/blue tweed seats centres. Happily its original 15' ATS "Cookie Cutter" alloys remain, again all are in perfect condition and shod with correct Continental 195/65 R15 tyres.

Originally supplied by Dick Lovett in Wiltshire on 4th April 1976. Evidently thoroughly enjoyed, as the majority of its mileage was covered in the first 10 years and properly looked after throughout this period by Charles Ivey.

It spent a few years in Guernsey and then across to Ireland with the same owner until its return to the UK and subsequently to Williams Crawford, where it was sold in 2014. They and Porschetech Ltd have looked after it until the current family took over the reins in August 2020.

They are a family very well known to us and fully immersed in the Classic and Sports car world. Their preferred Porsche specialist has overseen a complete overhaul of the car where the engine, brakes and suspension were all inspected, stripped and rebuilt as necessary.

Additionally it received complete re-paint in its original Arrow Blue hue. The interior being in wonderful order received less attention but did require a new headlining, which was supplied by Southbound.

There's a thick history file from day one virtually until the present, along with copious mots which all help verify the mileage. Additionally, someone has kindly compiled a written narrative of its history including keepers, dates and mileages of services/works, all of which again help reinforce its credentials & appeal.

Further more, its original wallet and service book service book survive, stamped of course by Dick Lovett & Charles Ivey.

This car presents beautifully with its chrome bright work and anodized trim being all in excellent condition, as are the consistent panel gaps too.

The very willing and sweet six is a hoot to drive and the often vague 915 gearbox linkage is now delicate and precise, courtesy of the short shifter fitted.

As one can see from the photos, its a visual treat, but in addition a 911 that's a pleasure to drive and rewarding to own.
