One can see the obvious changes but these extend to; new front wings, chrome horn grills and chrome edge front lights, L.E.D rear lights, central fuel filler, drilled door handles, lightweight rear screen and side glass, vent style rear quarter glass, Porsche Durant mirrors and an early alloy rear grill - more rarely chosen over the normal Fuchs, this car sits nicely on some lightweight period minilites.
The engine has been subject to a complete rebuild and tuned to 240 BHP. Needless to say, I have the full specification on file and will be happy to forward. Suspension was uprated too as was the gearbox rebuilt, using a Sachs sports clutch and lightweight flywheel, plus the brakes also received attention.
The interior even for my large frame is comfortable, incorporating Recaro seats, Willan's harnesses, rear cage and some nice ' RS ' touches, including Rennsport floor boards, RS door panels with pull releases, and many finer detail touches throughout. A very special car indeed!.
An absolute hoot to drive, makes all the right noises, especially on the overrun and given the combination of a fresh upgraded motive unit and some welcome weight savings, goes extremely well and utterly unrepeatable at this price.
