A fine example of a late registered low mileage Suffix D Range Rover which were only manufactured over an 8 month period, making them one of the rarest of the 7 original Suffix models.....finished in it's factory Arctic White with near perfect herringbone cloth upholstery, this Rangie had factory options of front head restraints and inertia-reel seat belts, together with the aforementioned upholstery, sundym glass and very necessary power steering.

Description

Supplied new, via Wadham Stringer of Chichester, it remained with its first owner until 1994. Interestingly the gentleman had 2 identical cars, this one we understand from a letter & photographs in the file, was used infrequently and acted as a spare....given its low mileage at the time of its sale to its second owner (only 17,000 miles) this seems completely plausible. The second keeper kept the Range Rover just 16 months by which time the mileage had crept up to 24,496 miles; this is verified by a MOT in March 1995 @ 22,397 miles. Subsequent MOT's through to 2013 correlate perfectly with the current mileage of 68,744.

Evidently all following owners have taken great care to preserve the originality and condition of the car; thoughtfully along the way a Fairey Overdrive unit and electric window were added. Pleasingly, items such as the correct grey rubber rear load area mat, extendable fuel neck, complete & original tool set together with owners wallet, manual and British Leyland Service Passport all remain intact.

A rare and wonderful opportunity.
