Certainly Chassis SRH 39461 was not your typical 'common or garden' specification Shadow. The Georgian Silver paintwork with a dark blue Everflex roof is all fairly normal, albeit, it certainly looks graceful and imposing; it's the interior which really set this particular car apart from majority of the drab 70/80's coloured Rolls-Royce....my Father had a similar car in Nutmeg with beige; say no more!!
A wonderfully vibrant Dark Blue Parkertex Savoy Velvet adorns the seats, it contrasts really well with the silver outside and makes the interior a special place to be. A further 'Special Feature' that was ticked, is the Ebony wood throughout - more than likely this is not unique, but certainly I've never seen it before in a Shadow.
Twin front head rest were another extra and certainly add to the already an excellent interior. Finally a dark blue Top Roll and Knee Roll (VM. 3209) were deemed appropriate with again another extra I am aware of but have not come across on one of these....Fiamm Horns with a foot switch. Finally the Grey Cirrus headlining helps lighten the interior.
All yours back in 1980 for the princely sum of £40,751.84! A whack of money then but probably only equal to a top spec Golf today! The odometer has just tripped over 55,000 miles so just getting into its stride. 'To Waft' should be a verb uniquely attributed to Rolls-Royce but in any rate, it's a real sense of occasion each time one slips behind the wheel. Cannot be too many one owner examples left but absolutely certain there will be none with this specification.
