The engine had been fully uprated for fast road use, where sitting upfront was a 2.5 Litre TR6 block with host of additional goodies: lighted and balance crankshaft coupled to a fast road camshaft, slipper pistons, stage 3 cylinder head, lighted fly wheel, roller rocker assembly, lumenition ignition, oil cooler, facet electric fuel pump, bespoke alloy radiator, electric cooling fan, JTS inlet manifold, triple SU carburettors, heat wrapper exhaust and a stainless semi sport exhaust.
The suspension had also been modified to cope with the enhance performance. This included Spax adjustable shock absorbers, uprated front springs and rear anti roll bar. To help her stop, the brakes were servo assisted whilst the front discs are crossed drilled and enjoy 4 pot calipers. She sat beautifully on unmarked 14' Compomotive Minilite alloy wheels. The list of enhancements and upgrades is endless.
The paint work positively sparkled under many layers of Canuba wax, whilst the under body was equally good having been properly rust proofed and under sealed. There were two period sport seats and the carpets and headlining were in first class order as was the dash top and wooden fascia.
This amazing triple carb high performance classic would cost a fortune to replicate today - in short, very fast, very desirable & very rare in this condition.
There's nothing to do apart from enjoy the wondrous sound a great British straight six.
