Intentionally radical from the outset, the new V8 bore little if anything in common with the previously employed versions of Rovers Buick based V8. Incorporating a narrow, 75-degree vee head and flat plane crank, it was capable of producing almost 100 bhp per litre, an incredible 420bhp from a normally aspirated engine, massively impressive even by today's standards.
It was a prerequisite of the last owner, who's heavily involved in the sports car industry, to find a Cerbera that had not been heavily modified and ideally remained as it left the factory over 20 years ago. This example didn't disappoint on any level, having a full and comprehensive service history with the right TVR specialists. In fact at the time of purchase it was inspected by the leading AJP specialist APM (Andy McLoughlin) and given the all important chassis and mechanical 'all clear'.
Further works have included an additional service less than 100 miles ago, all alloys refurbished and incredibly, earlier this year a complete repaint in its original Antique Turquoise, thus the paintwork is now faultless. With just 3 owners plus a complete service history, the most recent being undertaken again via Andy at APM, this Cerbera is completely on the button.
